Junior Wildlife Days


ARAZPA Organisation: Adelaide Zoo


Experience Synopsis: One day programs for junior primary classes. Teachers choose between ten topics and once a booking has been made, receive a resource pack containing worksheets, fact sheets, activity ideas, an itinerary for their zoo visit and a workbook for the students to do at the zoo. On the day of their visit they also receive a 45-minute lesson with an education officer on their chosen topic. 

Audience: Junior primary classes up to Yr 4. 

Cost: $20 per class plus zoo entry. 

Set up costs: Photocopying of resources. 

How the experience is promoted: Fliers sent to school website. 

Staffing: One full time staff member to design and produce the resource packs and to take the lessons. 

Resources: Classroom/sheltered area.
