The Bat and Rodent TAG covers bats and rodents endemic to Australia and Papua New Guinea including the following taxonomic groups:

- Muridae - water rats, tree-rats, hopping mice
- Pteropodidae - flying foxes
- Megadermatidae - ghost bats
- Vespertilionidae - long-eared bats
New Zealand species are managed under the New Zealand Native Fauna TAG.
