The current amphibian extinction crisis is one of the greatest conservation challenges in the history of humanity. We are on the verge of losing much of an entire vertebrate class and the window of opportunity to stem the extinctions is closing.

The global zoo and aquarium community has taken on this challenge, but implementation costs money and requires political support from all corners of the world. Faced with this challenge, the Amphibian Ark launched The Year of the Frog in 2008, and many ARAZPA institutions participated in this campaign.
The main goal of this campaign was to generate public awareness and understanding of the amphibian extinction crisis which represents the greatest species conservation challenge in the history of humanity. Money raised by fundraising efforts will help fund initiatives such as taxon survival efforts, fostering partnerships and capacity building activities being undertaken by ARAZPA members. Over AU$120,000 was raised in the region during the twelve month Year of the Frog Campaign.
Your donations will help support ex situ conservation programs and projects that are being established to help save endanagered frogs in Australia and New Zealand. 100% of all funds raised will be distrbuted to programs working to save endangered frogs.
Preferably, funds should be transferred bank-to-bank, but cheques can also be accepted. Please make cheques (in Australian dollars) payable to ARAZPA (Year of the Frog) and send to:
