ARAZPA Education Workshops
All
Inter-organisation professional development opportunities for ARAZPA educators are achieved through two annual workshops per year. Educators from the across the region gather at a host organisation to complete activities ranging from ‘Show and Tell’ sessions, which give us a chance to highlight exemplary programs that are happening in each of our organisations to hands-on workshops and participation in programs. We venture on behind-the-scenes tours and develop our group networking skills while undertaking the usual food and drink festival.
The ARAZPA Education Specialist Group communicates electronically during the year via the ARAZPA Educators listserv. The listserv is relevant to zoo, park and aquarium educators and others directly involved or interested in the business of zoo, park and aquarium education in the Australasian region. It provides members with a sounding board for success stories, horror stories, questions, concerns and everything in between. It's also a great resource for exchanging ideas, sharing best practices and keeping constant communication.
